Deion Harry

Deion Harry is a dedicated coach and trainer at our facility, bringing a wealth of experience, passion, and knowledge to the world of athlete development. A former high school athlete who excelled in multiple sports including basketball, football, and shot put/discus, Deion’s journey into coaching is deeply rooted in his love for sports and his desire to give back to the next generation of athletes.

Deion attended **Howard University**, a proud member of the Black Ivy League and ranked as the #1 HBCU in the nation and #86 overall in the country. At Howard, he played collegiate football as a **Defensive End/Defensive Tackle**, where he honed his athletic skills and developed a deep understanding of sports performance. He graduated with a degree in **Sports Medicine** and a minor in **Psychology**, positioning himself for a future as a **Sports Physical Therapist**.

As a former collegiate athlete Deion understands the importance of a strong mental and physical foundation, and he is passionate about helping athletes improve by 1% every day. This mindset was established throughout his high school years, where he was involved in various leadership groups that were focused on improving the educational environment for the students at Crete Monee High School. He now takes that same passion and channels it into his coaching—focusing on mentorship, discipline, and personal growth for the athletes he trains.

Deion’s coaching philosophy revolves around pushing athletes to surpass their limits while building their confidence, strength, and resilience. Whether it’s improving technique, maximizing performance, or just developing a mindset that drives success, Deion is committed to seeing each athlete achieve their goals.

A lifelong learner with a heart for helping others, Deion’s ultimate goal is to continue making a positive impact in the lives of young athletes, preparing them for success both on the field and beyond.
